Jimmy Kimmel pulled out all the stops for his all Star Wars episode Monday night. Folks at Google, however, want you to pick a side and battle for the galaxy.

Now Lucasfilm has chose to bring all new Star Wars stories into an over-arching continuity, it can be confusing working out what’s canon and what isn’t. While the Dark Side is cool, we just hate evil, and so had to choose the Light Side.

This means a little Tie Fighter on Google Maps instead of a tiny man, or a different background theme for Gmail.

While the makeover of Google Apps is a tribute from folks at Mountain View, California; the team is not done just yet. Drag your account photo to either the light or dark side and your account will be transformed (sort of).

There’s nothing more fun than watching the SNL stars impersonate some of our favorite (or least favorite) celebrities. These changes will happen on every device such as iPhone, iPad, Windows, Android, Mac and Chromebook, so no Star Wars fan could be left without a app makeover. You may not be Force sensitive, but to help celebrate the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Google is making it easy to pick a side.

You can even hear the signature John Williams’ score for the iconic movies.

The experience will launch on 2 December, according to Wareable.

In the States, there will also be four exclusive VR viewers themed around Star Wars that will be available from Verizon. Hence, it’s better not to lineup right away.
