Private Investigator Caught Tom Selleck Stealing Water In California
The water district claims it’s documented seven times when a commercial water truck filled up at a Thousand Oaks fire hydrant before taking it into “the Hidden Valley area where the Selleck property is located”, between September 20, 2013, and October 3, 2013, according to the complaint.

According to court docs, Tom Selleck is being SUED by the Calleguas Municipal Water District for stealing water (WATER!) from a public hydrant. Californians are now being asked to cut their water usage by 25 percent and drought shaming – where people chastise water guzzlers and photograph their malfeasance – is a growing trend.
Rick Kaiser, who also lives near the hydrant, said a truck from Burns Pacific Construction regularly takes water.
Selleck, who portrayed suave Hawaiian detective Magnum in a 1980s television series, has an avocado farm on his land.
In its lawsuit, the Calleguas Municipal Water District is seeking the amount paid to the investigator, along with court and attorney fees, as well as an injunction. To document the illegal activity, which resumed again in March 2015, district hired a private investigator spending almost $22,000.
The suit was originally reported Tuesday by Courthouse News Service. Earlier this summer, he introduced strict conservation measures for hotels, restaurants, and lawns, including a rule limiting lawn watering to two days a week.
So what’s the big deal if Selleck is paying for the water?
Actor Tom Selleck is accused of H2O theft by the truckloads in drought parched California by a water district near his Hidden Valley home.
A road sign warned residents heading into Rancho Santa Fe, California of water restrictions for their yards due to the devastating drought, June 24, 2015.

Selleck has not commented on the allegations yet, but Twitter users have.
