Les Miles’ tenture at LSU could be coming to an end
It was a game dominated by the Rebels except for a short stretch during the third quarter. “None of this is possible without my teammates”, Kelly said. “He does a great job preparing us, and we just have to execute”. For his part, Miles said the off-field hubbub surrounding his job had no effect on the Tigers’ performance. Let’s talk about teams still in contention for this year. The story was published even before Saturday’s mistake-filled loss in Oxford.

LSU’s secondary has been an issue at times this season.
Kelly completed 19 of 34 passes and had no turnovers.
Ole Miss closes the 2015 regular season next Saturday at Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl.
“I honestly have not taken those reports in”, Miles said.
LSU (7-3, 4-3, No. 15 CFP) rallied in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 24-17, but the Rebels responded with two quick touchdowns to put the game out of reach.
On the ensuing drive LSU scored their first points of the game on a 39-yard touchdown pass from Brandon Harris, as some younger players on the Rebel defense blew a coverage and receiver Tyron Johnson was able to haul in the deep pass.
“Our goal was to make them one-dimensional”, Ole Miss defensive back Mike Hilton said. He threw for 280 yards, two touchdowns, and no picks on the day while also rushing for 82 yards and two more scores. LSU’s one-time Heisman Trophy-favorite tailback, Leonard Fournette, ran for 108 mostly ineffective yards.
Ultimately, it’s too early to speculate, but it’s very interesting to see the roller-coaster that Les Miles’ year has become. I just think they were distracted in that position for whatever reason. But can Ole Miss hand LSU a loss this Saturday? He is expected to be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks and that timetable could cause him to miss Utah’s bowl game as well.
It was the opposite against Ole Miss: The Tigers aligned in the I-formation 12 of their first 13 plays, running the ball on eight of those.
“Go to hell, LSU!” a couple of well-marinated Ole Miss fans mockingly yelled from a suite in the south end zone. The SEC West is far from decided at the moment.

The embattled Miles, who may be fired near or at the end of this season, is going down throwing if that is the case. The Rebels lead the SEC in several major statistical categories, including scoring (40.7 points per game), total offense (526.6 yards per game) and passing offense (348.8 yards per game).
