Three men held in connection with shooting of Minnesota demonstrators
The Star Tribune reports that authorities are still debating whether to charge the men with a hate crime.

Scarsella’s Facebook page displays an unofficial flag of the Confederacy, as well as anti-Somali sentiments.
All three men are being held by police without bail on suspicion of assault, according to online jail records. At a press conference on Monday, Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton said he had viewed one of the tapes but declined to describe it. He also said it did not conclusively prove whether Clark was handcuffed at the time of his death.
“I attended Jamar Clark’s funeral today, and I join in the community’s mourning for Jamar Clark and for all of the Jamar Clarks who propel the protestors to demand meaningful change”, Ellison said. Some community members who say they saw the incident allege Clark was handcuffed when he was shot, which police have disputed.
“Jamar, your life did and does have objective”, shouted Bishop Richard Howell, the pastor of the church that hosted the service, who said the state must address the economic plight of Minneapolis’ black community and called for a special session of the state legislature.
“We are locked and loaded”, he says, holding up a black 1911-style pistol. They praised the ongoing protests, they called on local elected officials to show leadership, and they insisted that justice requires that the officer who killed Clark be charged in the shooting. “We’re going to knock this shit out… a little reverse-cultural enriching”.
“This is Black Powder Ranger”, he added, introducing the man in passenger seat, also dressed in camouflage and a keffiyeh hiding his face.

I don’t know why the Americans can’t get along, it is not my country and I have not been in it long enough to pass judgement, BUT, I can say this, the divide between Blacks, Whites, Muslims, Mexicans etc etc is getting worse not better.
Masked men opened fire on demonstrators participating in that vigil on Monday, a Black Lives Matter Minneapolis official said. After what appears to be an argument, the video cuts to black. Officers aggressively pushed back on the crowd, Wronski-Riley said, at one point using a chemical irritant to keep people back.
Authorities were unable to provide any details about the latest shooting – including information about who fired the shots or why.
The McDonald video put on display more police violence, but the year-plus of wrangling over the video’s content is what makes it hard to trust subsequent investigations and processes, activists say.
Moallin [told an officer] they needed a squad vehicle and an ambulance.
“But in light of tonight’s shootings, the family feels out of imminent concern for the safety of the occupiers, we must get the occupation of the 4th precinct ended and onto the next step”, the statement said.
A rally at the precinct was expected to continue Wednesday afternoon. Maybe they are just idiots, if there is a distinction. “I pleaded a good amount of time”. Moments later, shots rang out about a block away. When they arrived, they were dressed in full riot gear, and reportedly maced people tending to the wounded.

“Mayor Hodges is in one of those very hard positions that you don’t want to be in”, said Larry Jacobs, a political analyst with the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs. “The officer said “fuck you” or “shut the fuck up” or something like that”.
