Arsenal keep Champions League hopes alive
Arsene Wenger is confident Arsenal can beat Olympiacos and qualify for the last-16 of the Champions League.

Alexis Sanchez celebrates with Hector Bellerin after scoring the third goal in a 3-0 Champions League win on Tuesday at the Emirates Stadium.
That result means the Gunners will travel to Olympiakos on 9 December, needing to win by two clear goals – or by any margin with Arsenal scoring at least three goals in Piraeus – to qualify for the last 16 for a 16th straight season.
Although it took a little time to get into the gear, Arsene Wenger’s side were given all the encouragement they needed when news of Bavarian goals began to come through during the game’s opening stages.
The win ensured Barca got through to the last 16 in first place in Group E. They have 13 points from five games, Roma and Bayer Leverkusen both have five and BATE Borisov have four.
“I don’t know how important percentage wise he is but he is just a very important player because at the moment we have real strikers”.
This win combined with an Olympiacos loss against Bayern Munich gives Arsenal a chance to make it out of the Champions League Group Stage.
Wenger is now keen to turn his attention back to the Barclays Premier League after seeing his side miss the opportunity to go top of the table following a defeat at West Brom on Saturday.
Sigali’s mistake had completely unhinged the Dinamo rearguard, leaving Monreal with room to break into the area and slide his pass towards Sanchez, who slotted a cool first-time finish past Eduardo from close-range.
“We wanted to play our game from the start, with a lot of motivation and drive”.
“(Ozil) had an outstanding first half”, Wenger said.
Dinamo Zagreb coach Zoran Mamic is backing Arsenal to produce the result they need in the Greek capital. “We do not need to discuss that too much”, he said.
On the evidence of this performance, they seem to have every chance of doing just that.
“It was a good night because we did the job and played at a high pace”, added Wenger. On a night when the club needed a desperate win to keep their CL campaign alive, the deadly duo turned up and delivered for their side. There is a big difference in money and quality of players between ourselves and teams like Arsenal.
