Bundesliga round-up: Bayern Munich go eight points clear

Bayern are eight points clear at the top of the Bundesliga and looking strong in Europe after clinching top spot in Group F with a game to spare. Bayern misplaced their defender Holger Badstuber to a pink card, which was a minor setback, because the ten-males have been capable of mark the fourth aim via Kingsley Coman to make the sport protected, Xinhua reported.

Gerard Pique and Adriano also scored, with Neymar missing a penalty but impressing in link play. I think Olympiakos are going to give it a go here though and defensively they have been very tough to break down for teams.

Of those goals, 14 were scored in Munich, nine of them in the first half, with Bayern getting their first no later than the 13th minute as they put Dinamo Zagreb, Arsenal and Olympiacos out of sight within the opening half hour.

Arsenal beat Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 to keep alive their chances of progressing.

Coman was once more in the thick of issues as Bayern tripled the lead in the twentieth minute. Luis Suarez opened the scoring for Barcelona, when he found the bottom left corner of the net off an assist by Dani Alves and managed to score once more just before the end of the first half.

Cech said: “We did our bit, Bayern Munich did their bit and it is now a grand finale for us in the last game, and we are literally entering the play-off already”.

Bayern now top the group with 12 points and can not be dislodged with one match remaining.

Fresh off Saturday’s 4-0 mauling of arch-rivals Real Madrid, Barcelona can wrap up top spot in Group E by avoiding defeat at the Camp Nou against Roma. Willian scored another free kick for the Blues, as the Brazilian has now scored from a set piece in four of Chelsea’s five Champions League matches.

The Blues are second in Group G and a win at the Sammy Ofer Stadium will take them through if Dynamo Kiev fail to beat Porto.

One team lacking confidence at the moment are Stuttgart, who were beaten 4-0 by Augsburg in front of their own fans.

Raffael struck Moenchengladbach’s victor in the 84th minute as coach Andre Schubert matched Udo Lattek’s club record start of being unbeaten after eight league games.

“That was again another concentrated performance from us”, the centerback said. Olympiakos were all at sea as Coman’s mishit volley bounced up for Robben at the far post, and the Dutch winger headed it unselfishly across the face of goal for Müller to supply a trademark simple finish.
