Woman In Black To Feature In Men In Black 4
“Men in Black 3” was released on May 25, 2012, and grossed $624,026,776 worldwide. Given that governmental cover-ups always seem to be run by white guys – what with the government made up of mostly white guys – it made sense that the first film focused on subverting the trope by featuring Will Smith in the everyman role.

With this news, and the fact that “Men in Black” now shares a universe with the “21 Jumpstreet” franchise, the future of the series could be very interesting indeed. In black. Of course.
Series producer Laurie MacDonald, in an interview with BBC Newsbeat, said: “There will be a prominent woman in black in the fourth [film]”. Parks noted that the plans are in the early stages and that the film will be a “reinvention” of the franchise. What do we think, gang? This was not-so-elegantly sidestepped in the sequel, where Fiorentino was nowhere to be found while the movie bent over backwards to bring Tommy Lee Jones’ Agent Kay back into the mix. He added: We sort of looked at the first three in retrospect as a bit of a trilogy. Smith and Jones appeared in all three films, which were in turn all directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.
So a female MiB agent is not unprecedented – we got all of 30 seconds of a Woman in Black back in 1997.
Perhaps Men in Black is looking to go the same way as Ghostbusters by retelling a classic comedy with female characters.

We’re still not sure when Men In Black 4 will see the light of day, but if the script is still in its infancy, we probably have to wait around a year or so before that’s announced.
