When it came to vote, Simon saved Anton, who was in his Overs category, to stay in the comp, only for him to get the boot.

The Birmingham singer performed Jealous by Nick Jonas, but was automatically eliminated in Saturday’s surprise twist. But thank God I’m not frightful.

The 44-year-old from Suffolk sang I Can’t Make You Love Me and he was absolutely right as the judges votes three to one to send Che Chesterman through instead after a sing-off.

Back in 2012, there was a public outcry after producer Richard Holloway was seen whispering into former judge Louis Walsh’s ear before Carolynne Poole’s controversial exit.

“The vocals were a bit iffy at the beginning, but I think you are going to be in the finals of this competition”, Cowell correctly stated.

He told the Daily Star newspaper: “I’ve had really bad flu and swollen glands”.

Not letting it go Anton retorted: “I’m not being aggressive, but there’s no need to be rude”.

Explaining his outburst on Saturday night’s show during his judging, Anton said: “I was unhappy with what was said and I made that very clear”.

He continued: “The wonderful thing about The X Factor is what it’s done, it’s given me a pair – I’ve grown a pair since I’ve been on there”. Of course, I wanted to win! We look forward to seeing where his career takes him…

It’s the second week in a row that The X Factor has been accused of being fixed.

In an exclusive interview, she confessed earlier to the Gazette how heartbroken she was to lose her pals Seann Miley Moore and Monica Moore from the show.

He says he has no regrets about taking part in the show, and that “it’s been the most phenomenal time of my life”.
