Fan pours beer on Sydney’s Marcus Thornton
But here’s what more frightening: As the announcers in the video noted, the man left with the beer in hand, free to continue his spree of tippage as a serial beer spiller in the streets of some poor Australian city.

Thornton didn’t have much to say after the game when asked about the fan’s choice to give away unwanted free samples from the concession stand.
Thornton, who played college basketball for William & Mary, was the 45th pick in June’s NBA draft.
Banned: The spectator who poured beer on Sydney Kings import Marcus Thornton at the Illawarra Hawks NBL game on Wednesday.
“The 83-year-old father of a long-term, valued employee has some cognitive impairment and does not recall the incident”, the hospital said in a statement.
The fan reached out to dump his beer on Thornton during Sydney’s 96-90 loss to arch rivals Illawarra.
The offender was sitting behind the basket at the Wollongong Entertainment Centre on Wednesday night when Thornton slid into the advertising boards in front of him.
The man was later ejected from the game.
“The NBL places the utmost importance on the safety and well-being of its players”. NBL officials are investigating the incident and the man faces a possible lifetime ban or suspension. Both coaches supported the prompt ejection of the fan.

In case you’re wondering, the brand of beer that Marcus Thornton got hit with reportedly is Cascade Premium Light, an Australian microbrew lager, MassLive indicated.
