Tyson Fury’s last five fights

Tyson Fury took time out from a public workout session ahead of his bout with Wladimir Klitschko this weekend to serenade the world heavyweight champion.

Tyson Fury: “I think this is going to be one of my easiest fights”. He has to prove himself.

“It’s going to be a good fight”.

Klitschko’s reign has been methodical, yet dominating. Klitschko, who could be anything from the best to the worst to the most mediocre thing to happen to boxing this century, beats up a few stiffs, frustrates some more, then chooses every few years a loud (often British) opponent to beat up as well. Klitschko made his last appearance in the ring with a unanimous decision win of Bryant Jennings in April.

With Fury in front of him Klitschko is presented with a truly unique proposition. I always knew he would because it’s part of the mind games he plays. “He’s had it all his own way in every single aspect and all I ask is that I’m treated fairly and to wear gloves which fit me, for the sake of my hands. I have to confront it, this is a fact”. This is the second time the fight has been scheduled to take place after the original date in October was cancelled due to Klitschko’s calf injury.

“His record speaks for itself”, Klitschko said. Klitschko is self-evidently the best fighter in the division, the best athlete, the hardest hitter. “But I love challenges and I love testing myself”.

TYSON FURY IS in peak condition despite a long wait for his world heavyweight title showdown against Wladimir Klitschko this Saturday, according to trainer and uncle Peter Fury. He won his first world title – the WBO – 15 years ago before losing it to Corrie Sanders in 2003. DeGale defeated Andre Dirrell for the title in May.

“I’m not coming to Germany to win on points, I’m going to do a demolition job on Wladimir”, said Fury earlier.

Haye, formerly with Adam Booth, now has a new trainer in Shane McGuigan, the son of Barry McGuigan who also works with super-bantamweight world champion Carl Frampton.

“It was probably one of the lowest times in my life”.

Tickets went on sale Tuesday, with prices starting at $25. It was a performance that won over many sceptics, but the build-up to the fight was marred by Fury’s chilling warning to his opponent: “I’ve a wife and two kids to provide for and if it means killing you in the ring, that’s what I will have to do”. Vargas-Miura could be the leading contender for Fight of the Year. Gonzalez is 11-0 with 10 knockouts.
