PS4 Sales Hit 30 Million Worldwide
The 30 million consoles sold since 2013 is not surprising given Sony’s openness to sharing its PS4 sales figures. “We are committed to bringing engaging games and entertainment services to user’s worldwide.” said Andrew House, Chief Executive at PlayStation. And in another interesting note, the difference between Xbox One and PlayStation 4 sales in North America isn’t as big as the worldwide gap, as Sony outsold Microsoft by only a million units in the United States and Canada. Sony’s other major competitor, Nintendo, only managed to sell 10.9 million units of the Nintendo Wii U since its launch. The original PlayStation also ended up selling over 100 million units in the nine years it was on the market, and the PlayStation 3 has so far sold 80 million units in about that same timeframe.

“PS4 continues to demonstrate the fastest and strongest growth in PlayStation hardware history”, Sony said in a press release.
Sony offers some free games to the people who pay for PlayStation Plus every month.
This will happen because there will be better games in terms of graphics and the current generation of consoles will not be able to handle the new games properly. If you’ve been holding out on buying a PS4 or Xbox One console now is your chance to grab one at an insanely low price point.
Just in time to give you something else to be thankful for over the holiday weekend, Sony has announced the latest additions to the PlayStation Plus library, which can be added to your digital game collection starting next Tuesday, December 1.

Sony’s figures came after it cut the price of the console in Japan, the US and Europe ahead of the holiday season, to help maintain purchasing momentum. They include Dragon Quest Builders, Ryu Ga Gotoku, Bloodborne: The Old Hunters Edition, Gravity Rush Remaster, and Unchartered 4: A Thief’s End.
