Paul Scholes criticises Bastian Schweinsteiger over Manchester United’s
Manchester United icon Paul Scholes has criticised Bastian Schweinsteiger. I’m not 100 per cent convinced, I think Manchester City and Arsenal would have to struggle with injuries and form.

Schweinsteiger played a big part in United’s narrow 2-1 victory over Watford in the Premier League on the weekend when Troy Deeney turned the midfielder’s cross into his own net.
“Scholes added: “[There are] too many passes before getting into the final third, which is why the forwards like Wayne Rooney have struggled.
The balance of the squad doesn’t feel quite right, so if United wish to enter the second half of the season as undisputed title favourites – most notably rivalling the incredible quality and depth on show at Manchester City – it could require some recruitment in January transfer window. They don’t get the service’.
“You expect more from Schweinsteiger, a player who’s won the World Cup and the Champions League”, said the current pundit.
“At the minute, none of their two midfield players contribute anything going forward, the full-backs contribute nothing, they’re just a defending team with a few attackers and no help from elsewhere”.
‘Schweinsteiger claps a backpass to the goalkeeper and he plays every week, so the manager must be happy with the way they play’.
United laboured to a goalless draw against PSV on Wednesday evening and missed out on the chance of securing their place in the Champions League knockout phase with a game to spare.

United looked woeful in attack during the clash and former midfielder Scholes has pulled no punches in his criticism of the Red Devils’ forward line which has plenty to do if they want to be classified in Europe’s elite like Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
