Force Awakens Invades Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Star Wars: “The Force Awakens” has officially received a PG-13 rating, for content described as “sci-fi action violence”.

The film is expected to play in all local multiplexes, in regular format, IMAX and 3-D. The only other Star Wars film to get the same rating was 2005’s Revenge of the Sith. Earlier this week, J.J. Abrams stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live” where the director revealed the first spoken word in the movie. The proceeds generated by the new Omaze campaign will be split among a number of different organizations chosen by the members of the Star Wars cast.

“It was a really big life-changing thing in my career”, Boyega said of his first movie.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is scheduled for United Kingdom release on December 17 and in the USA on December 18. Abrams recently said that the Jedi master is being kept under wraps for a reason. Despite being in the film, the cast was hilariously unable to answer any of the questions correctly, with Ridley explaining that she actually studied for the game. Finn (John Boyega) whips out his blue lightsaber and faces off with a Stormtrooper (who, for some reason, uses his blaster rifle like a lightsaber) in No. 8.

Now that Star Wars falls under the Disney banner, some have wondered if the series is going to move in an even more family-friendly direction. Okay, maybe not that many secrets. The VR experience episodes tie in with the official movie, The Force Awakens made by ILMxLAB (Lucasflim laboratory for immersive entertainment and Skywalker Sound).

TV host Jimmy Kimmel has called the new Star Wars movie the “most anticipated sequel I think since the New Testament”, adding that “Americans know more about Star Wars than we do actual wars”.
