I know I’m not talking to any last-minuters out there because everyone is already prepared when it comes to food and supplies.
The Thanksgiving Day NFL action starts at 12:30 p.m. Eastern time and features three games, ending with a prime-time matchup between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers.
The Lions are 3-7 on the year both straight up and against the spread but have covered in back-to-back games (both straight up wins). 500 record, including their last two against the Dolphins and Buccaneers.

Nonetheless, this game still projects to be highly entertaining. Their defense has been coming together over the last few weeks and some of that has been because of the play from their cover corner Darius Slay, who shut down Amari Cooper last week. Joique Bell has been limited this year and it looks like all of his injuries have added up to really slow him down.
Once upon a time, like less than a month ago, the Philadelphia Eagles featured a run defense so stout that opponents would sometimes become one-dimensional even in games the Eagles would trail.
The Eagles have hit a road block, suffering straight losses at home, and now they are tasked with snapping that losing streak on the road.
Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson are poised for big games.
Mark Sanchez started last week in a loss to Tampa Bay, falling to 4-5 as a starter with the Eagles. Now it’s time for them to look into the mirror. The Eagles are in desperate need of the win to stay in touch in the race for the NFC East division, but the Lions are also looking for just their fourth win of the season so far.
“I’ll tell you, I don’t think I’d be worse than 4-6.”
If Sanchez plays well enough to, say, win two games, it seems as if the team would continue to use him as the starter going forward.

If Philly is going to get another Turkey Day win it would help if the running game came to the quarterback’s aid.
