The official said Corel was detained for illegal holding of a hunting rifle.

Clain was convicted in 2009 for involvement in a network sending extremist fighters to Iraq.

Seven people, all dead, were directly involved in the attack and the total may have been eight or even higher, with investigations centred on Salah Abdeslam.

On Tuesday, a fifth, unidentified, person was charged, the statement added.

All of those arrested are charged with participation in the activities of a terrorist group and terrorist murders.

Bendaoud acknowledged in a television interview giving shelter to two people from Belgium in his home in Saint-Denis but said he didn’t know who they were or what they planned.

“A friend asked me to put up two of his friends for a few days”, he said. “I did a favour, sir”.

The private Dogan news agency said Dahmani is suspected of exploring areas in Paris that were attacked last week and acting as a scout for the operation.

Reuters exclusively reported the plot to attack the district of La Defense on November 18.

Abaaoud was among three people killed during the raid on the apartment in the early hours of November 18. His female cousin, Hasna Ait Boulahcen, died of asphyxia apparently from the explosive vest detonated by a third person, who hasn’t been identified, the prosecutor said.

His brother, Brahim, was killed in the attack (below).

In France, police said the explosive vest – without a detonator – was found in a pile of rubble in Chatillon-Montrouge, on the southern edge of Paris, some distance from the sites of the attacks.

The prosecutor also revealed that telephone analysis showed that Abaaoud returned to the scene of the attacks while the siege at the Bataclan concert venue was still under way.

“The geolocalization of Abdelhamid Abaaoud’s alleged phone between 22:28 p.m. and 0:28 confirms a presence in the 12th, 11th, and 10th districts, and notably near the Bataclan concert hall”, Molins said.

Belgium has issued an arrest warrant for a 30-year-old man seen driving a auto with fugitive Salah Abdelslam two days before the attacks on the French capital.

Belgium’s foreign minister Didier Reynders told the ABC News that the country’s primary concern right now is to find about 10 individuals whom Belgium authorities believe could launch a Paris-like attack with “heavy weapons” and “suicide bombs”.

Brussels will stay on its highest level of alert at least until Monday, with Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel warning that the threat “remains serious and imminent”, though schools and the Metro will reopen today.

Citing “increased terrorist threats” from militant groups in various regions of the world, the US State Department has issued a global alert for Americans planning to travel following deadly militant attacks in France and Mali.
