We’ll continue to see some rain both Saturday night and again on Sunday.

Most locations across the Northeast will dry out for the last half of the weekend, with the exception being the mid-Atlantic where rain could linger into Sunday.

High pressure is in full control of the weather, bringing bountiful sun and milder temperatures to the area.

The worst weather is expected to arrive Friday as a cold front blows through the Austin metro area. The next real shot at any rain will come early next week.

Friday’s high temperature is expected to top out around 60 degrees while the overnight low should drop to about 40 degrees.

Cold air is forecast to blow in Thursday night.

Travelers will encounter an increasing chance of rain heading north into Iowa and west into Kansas as rain will be likely ahead of a cold front.

Thanksgiving Day: Rain. High near 56.

The Thanksgiving forecast also looks solid – mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 50s. Rain can be expected throughout the day, with a thunderstorm possible between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. and winds reaching as high as 24 miles per hour.

That freezing could occur in northern Missouri after midnight Friday morning, when many might be out to take advantage of Black Friday deals.

Thanksgiving: Partly sunny. Daytime high temperature of about 62 degrees, nighttime low of about 50.
