First Daughters Gobble Up President Obama’s Jokes at Turkey Pardon

They didn’t look thrilled at last year’s turkey pardoning, and Obama thanked them for once against standing with him.

After the Rose Garden ceremony, the first family served a traditional Thanksgiving meal to homeless vets at Friendship Place in the basement of St. Luke’s church in NW.

Unfortunately for everyone involved, the dad jokes kept coming – though they were nowhere near as good as the first.

President Barack Obama’s daughters joined their father once again for the annual White House turkey pardoning ceremony on Wednesday, even mustering up a few chuckles at Obama’s abhorrent puns. “And that’s something we can all be thankful for”, Obama said.

“Abe is now a free bird”, President Obama said before waving his hand over the red, white and blue bird.

Obama said Wednesday that his administration is protecting Americans with a two-pronged approach by attacking ISIS, including conducting more than 8,000 airstrikes, and securing American borders.

This year, the lucky bird spared was Abe, an 18-week-old, 40-pound gobbler raised in California.

“That was good, that was good.” his oldest daughter Malia admitted with a grin.

“From day one, President Obama and Hillary Clinton underestimated the threat of ISIS – and now we’re learning that not only are punches being pulled in this fight, the intelligence appears to have been doctored for some time”, Priebus said.

The two turkeys arrived aboard United Airlines flight “Turkey One” on Monday at Dulles International Airport outside Washington, D.C., and began their overnight stay at the Willard InterContinental, adjacent to the White House. “They do it exclusively to make me feel good, not because they think it’s actually something I should be doing”.

Echoing comments French President Francois Hollande made Tuesday at the White House, Obama also underscored efforts to target Islamic State funding streams, recruitment efforts and messaging.

Calling the November 13 Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’s terrorist attacks on Paris “horrific and heinous”, Obama said those events, which killed 130 people from 20 nations and wounded more than 350 others, ” touched a deep chord” for Americans.

“I was just so glad to be given the opportunity”, Pollack said.

“If you see something suspicious, say something”, said the president.
