Clearly awed, Peter Capaldi looked out at a sea of 7000 fans and declared his first San Diego Comic Con as “cosmic”. “I’ve never been in front of 7,000 people in my life”. The previous season is one that had me hook, line and sinker with Capaldi and his portrayal has me very excited to see where he can take it with this new season as everyone has a bit more experience with this Doctor now.

That said, there’s no guarantee the characters would even hit it off, if they ever do meet.
One of the main topics on the panel was the surprising revelation that Missy is a female personification of the Master.
In true Comic Con fashion, the trailer is designed as an epic experience, meant to give you chills and excitement, and it does that beautifully.
Meanwhile, Peter recently revealed he is desperate for Jenna Coleman to stay in Doctor Who. Coleman explained their relationship was in an “experimental” phase, and that “it’s like getting to know your best friend all over again”.

“She has a rule that she has to be dropped off 30 seconds after she left the TARDIS so she doesn’t miss Maths class or something”, Coleman said. But he’s nearly reckless in his abandon.
“It’s this great friendship that just went wrong”.
“The most wonderful thing that happens is that I get the affection of the whole 50 years pointed in my direction”, Capaldi said. And, they throw themselves recklessly into the pursuit of adventure, which is lovely. “That’s daredevil”. It’s kind of really adrenaline-fueled and living in the moment and pushing the adventure right up to the edge.

That is particularly true for Clara following the loss she suffered at the end of the last season. Details of Williams’ role are under wraps, but it seems she and the Doctor are old acquaintances. The Doctor is back in action in a trailer for series 9 of “Doctor Who“, and he’s bringing along “Game of Thrones” star Maisie Williams as a mysterious new character.
