Tony Romo leaves Panthers game with injury

Romo was quickly ruled out from returning to Thursday’s game against the Panthers after team trainers diagnosed him with a left clavicle injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

RAMS: Stedman Bailey was in intensive care and in stable condition at a Miami area hospital Wednesday after undergoing a surgery the team said lasted 4-6 hours for a bullet wound to the head.

The Bears have looked better this year with a new offensive coordinator. “For me, I feel good and I’ll be ready when Thursday comes”. It had a similar-type feeling (as when the Week 2 break occurred).

The Panthers were up 30-6 when he was sacked and taken out of the game so it would have been hard for the Cowboys to come back at all.

Both Philadelphia and Washington lost by 28 points last week while the wildly-inconsistent New York Giants drew a late-season bye, all of which leaves the Cowboys just two games off the pace with six remaining. “Anytime you’ve got a person like that, it’s always great to watch”. “Collarbones happen all the time like that”.

Kuechly intercepted two straight passes by Romo, returning the first 32 yards for a touchdown. The linebacker looked a little winded on the return, eventually settling for a 17-yarder that led to the third of Graham Gano’s four field goals to put the Panthers up 23-3 at halftime. He knew it immediately, pounding his right fist to the turf.

“I’m just very disappointed in not giving our team the chance to win today”. He ruptured the patellar tendon in his left knee last season, missing the final 12 games.

“I’m disappointed I let my teammates down and the fan base down today”, Romo said.

Now, Romo may end up being gone for the season. He also broke his left collarbone in 2010. Their attempts to win this year without Romo have proved below futile. But it’s a conversation and a decision that must be contemplated.

The Cowboys are finally back home from Florida for Thanksgiving and have one of the biggest tasks to swallow.

Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez started in place of Sam Bradford, who was inactive with a shoulder injury. Newton will likely be looking Olsen’s way a lot on Thursday.

Stopping McFadden will force the game into the hands of the still recovering Romo.

Safety Kurt Coleman picked off Romo’s second pass less than a minute into the game and took it back 36 yards for a score. Cam Newton completed 21 of 34 passes for 246 yards and five touchdowns.

The offense had no punch even before Romo was injured. He had 183 yards passing with several key third-down conversions and another 45 yards rushing.

Of course the Cowboys defense, which allowed 30 or more points three times in Romo’s absence and is No. 15 against the run, will have to find a way to contain Newton and running back Jonathan Stewart.

“It’s a collective responsibility”. “We have to decide in the next few days on what we want to be”.
