Adele smashes single week United States album sales record in four days
Needless to say, it’ll be a close call, with Adele needing to shift 76,000 more copies of 25 to take that final record.

So given that practically everyone has rushed to get their hands on the album, we have a feeling these tickets will sell out in record time!
After processing the first sales reports from the album’s release date, Monday, November 23, the album quickly sold at least 2,433,000 in pure album sales in just over three days, according to Nielsen Music.
Adele’s return to music comes after a four-year hiatus and the first single from the album “Hello” was knocked off the top spot in the United Kingdom but is still number one in the US.
Pandora Media Inc presented its listeners with British singer Adele’s best-selling album “25”, days after streaming companies said the album would not be available for streaming at release.
Announcing the news on Twitter, Adele shared a video of herself standing in front of a map on the wall. In another time-out-of-joint example, “25 ” is projected to break first-week CD sales records set by NSync’s “No Strings Attached” in 2000 (you know, one of the last years you still had something to play CDs in).
Before 25 was released, it always seemed like a sure thing that 25 would sell a million copies in its first week. Several of the band’s members gave Adele their stamp of approval, including Joey Fatone, 38, and JC Chasez, 39.
The singer has been making quite a splash with the release of several singles since her full album was made available on Friday, Nov. 20.
“These kind of figures are unheard of – especially considering the majority of sales have been on CD…”
Adele’s voice and lyrics have the power to move mountains, but the tracks of 25 will rarely surprise you, however, there are a few standouts among the crowd.

Clearly, Adele’s team – across September Management, XL/Beggars and Sony/Columbia – have agreed that Pandora is less of a threat to traditional “consumption” than the likes of Spotify.
