In London, the Indian prime minister addressed 60,000 people at the Wembley Stadium.

Since 2010, India has a strategic partnership with Malaysia. “You can imagine that if this team (of IAS officers) transforms one-fifth districts, then I don’t thing there can be any obstacles in transforming India”. ASEAN is India’s fourth largest trading partner and India is the sixth largest trading partner for the ten member grouping.

“The ASEAN nations have welcomed India’s “Act East Policy” and we in India are extremely enthusiastic to have better relations with the ASEAN family in areas such as defence, security and cultural ties”.

Modi referred to pluralism in India in an article in the prestigious Economist magazine whose brief excerpts was tweeted by its Europe business correspondent based in Paris.

In the first speech by a serving Indian PM to British Parliament, Modi said that the United Kingdom and India were “two strong economies and two innovative societies” but their relationship “must set higher ambitions”. “As Modi himself said during his Wembley Stadium address, the perception of India is changing”, said Avinash Vazirani, manager of the Jupiter India fund, “The world is waking up to a host of opportunities that India holds, culturally but also when it comes to investment opportunities”. “Bilateral trade between India and Singapore stood at $17 billion in 2014-15, Wadhwa said.As has been the practice, Modi will also interact with the Indian diaspora in both Malaysia and Singapore. Nehru was a great Indian, a great person, but his tendency to lean towards the Soviet Union and pick up some of their bad habits lingered India for long time”, McConnell, the Senate Majority Leader, said.

“We have to help each other secure our cyberspace, and minimise use of internet and social media for terrorist activities”, he said.

Singapore has been wanting to close the review for some time, and is likely to bring up the issue during Modi’s visit, a Commerce Ministry official told this newspaper, adding that India has refused to do so. Enhancing the UK’s interest in collaborating with India, partnerships have been built such as BP and India’s Reliance Industries Limited joining to develop and produce energy.

Malaysians will have the opportunity to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a public reception this Sunday.
