It’s the culmination of a season-long reconciliation process between the team and their former franchise quarterback following their messy split in 2008. No. 4 became even more famous in Green Bay.

“I’m probably more proud that we had some good years right here, right here”, Favre said. I never dreamed of the Hall of Fame.

Favre admits he misses the game, but it’s not about the actual action on the field.

Favre attended a “Chalk Talk” charity event to raise funds for Rawhide, a charity serving at-risk youth started by Bart Starr in the 1960s when he was a Packers quarterback.

The favorite has covered the spread in each of the past 4 games between these two teams.

“We’ve got to stay focused on the game, and our players will”, coach Mike McCarthy said.

Brett Favre threw some kind words at the man who replaced him at quarterback for the Green Bay Packers.

“But then once they had, I realized, ‘That’s, you know, that’s got Favre’s and some other guys autographs – don’t wipe it off.’ I tried to get (equipment manager) Red Batty not to wipe off those autographs”. He’s not playing too shabby so far tonight. “The Packers wouldn’t be where they are today without him”.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) – Under pressure to produce from the boss, the Detroit Lions secured a signature win in the unlikeliest of places. Langford has played well while Forte has been injured and John Fox may want to use some of that explosiveness with Forte just coming back after being out. He broke out of a season-long slump after gaining 100 yards on 22 yards against the Vikings. Wide receivers Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal are also listed as questionable due to different injuries. Forte this week said he was able to cut and run at full speed at practice.

The Packers first opened as touchdown favorites over the Bears according to Vegas odds makers. Sure. He is a lot more polished than I am. But it’s going to be fun to get back out there on the field and help us out. His name will be revealed on the facade in the Lambeau Field Ring of Honor. He also brought the Packers one of the four Super Bowl championships in team history, winning Super Bowl XXXI at the end of the 1996-97 season. It took him through a painful divorce with a city that embraced everything the playmaker stood for, both good and bad.
