A Thanksgiving night for the ages: Packers, Bears, Favre, Starr
Rodgers has been dominant in his own right, owning a 13-3 record in the series entering this game that was played in the rain like Halloween night 1994 when Favre and the Packers were at Soldier Field for the jersey retirement of Bears legends Dick Butkus and Gale Sayers.

“It was awesome”, Favre said.
Bart Starr just reminded us all how thankful we should be on this Thanksgiving Day. “But he is going to walk on that field tonight”. Coach Mike McCarthy was critical of his receivers’ route-running.
But back at Favre’s home in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the monumental event barely registered in his household.
“We have so much to be thankful for and as I think back to our time in Green Bay, I certainly thank God for the opportunity to play and for so long, and to play in the best place to play football in the world”, Favre said in a brief statement. He is tied with Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (six games vs. Philadelphia) for the longest current TD streak in the league against one opponent to start a career. “So that’s why I wanted to come to this game”, she said. I mean, he was, it was wonderful. “I dreamed of playing”, Favre said.
The 4th quarter was key, and I noted on Facebook that they could pull off the win if they didn’t commit penalties or turnovers, so it was disheartening to see all the flags on the field killing the Bears final drive. “It was like, ‘Oh, that’s not a wave'”.
Farve is one of the 25 semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2016.
He’s the man that brought a Super Bowl title back to Titletown. “It’s unfortunate how things worked out, but in the end, it’s all worked out”.
The Packers honored prodigal son Favre by retiring his number, and in a too-brief halftime ceremony, Favre greeted his teammates and thanked his family, team, and fans for their support through the years. With a schedule that features San Francisco and Washington at home, Minnesota and Tampa Bay on the road and Detroit at home, the Bears have a realistic shot of winning four of their last five.
They’ll try again in seven days, this time in the comfort of warm and dry Ford Field. Four of them were not my fault. It took him through a painful divorce with a city that embraced everything the playmaker stood for, both good and bad. “Not really a lot of fun watching the games and doing all that and not be able to help your team win, so I’m not really used to doing that”, Forte said, according to ESPN.

Waddell added, “Even though there were hard feelings, of course, by everyone, I still think he’s a Green Bay Packer all the time”.
