Sixers rookie Okafor in street fight

Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor was involved in a fight in the streets of Boston on Wednesday night, footage acquired by TMZ Sports reveals. The Sixers now have a shot at the all-time record of 18 consecutive losses at the start of an National Basketball Association season set by the 2009 New Jersey Nets. “I was pissed at myself – pissed at everybody for the most part”.

Evan Turner added 16 points for Boston, which trailed by five with just under three minutes left.

“I felt like the energy, they were just playing harder than us consistently throughout the game”, Bradley said. “You’re getting so close to that first W. We got to do a better job of closing out games”.

Okafor, Philadelphia’s No. 3 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Rookie Draft, listed 19 points and nine rebounds in the Sixers’ defeat.

In Toronto, Kyle Lowry scored 27 points and DeMar DeRozan added 20 as the Raptors handed the Cavaliers their third straight road loss.

“I think it’s fair to say he’s got shooter’s amnesia and he’s not afraid to take the next one”, Celtics coach Brad Stevens said. “Until that time, we will have no further comment”.

Thomas scored 11 of his game-high 30 points in the fourth quarter. Crowder’s three-pointer from the top of the key capped the spree.

“We got embarrassed in Boston, no doubt about that”, Johnson said, “and we wanted to come home and protect our house”.

Boston’s Isaiah Thomas (30 points) hit a pair of foul shots with 1.4 seconds left to give the Celtics a four-point cushion.

“There’s no excuse for that”, Pressey said.

“There were plenty of areas that frustrated me but again, Brooklyn outplayed us”. Those kids grind, man. I know for sure they stay over the summer and work out together. “If it keeps happening, we’ve got to keep watching film and try to correct it”.

Thomas’ driving layup off a Crowder steal pulled the Celtics to within 80-79. I’m thankful that fists were only used, and not weapons in this fight (because things could have been a lot worse than they already are). The Wolves entered the night last in three-point field goals, but went 9 for 21 against the Hawks.

The 76ers opened the second quarter with a 10-0 run over the first 5 minutes, turning a 26-26 deficit into an eight-point edge.

The Sixers were without shooting guard Nik Stauskas.

Brown tried to downplay the latest standard of losing the Sixers have pioneered. One reason the team looked a little out of sync was because Marcus Smart was not on the floor, and he might not be back on the court for a couple weeks due to a left leg injury.
