Rangpur Riders: Shakib Al Hasan(C), Arafat Sunny, Jahurul Islam, Marshall Ayub, Mohammad Mithun, Kevin O’Brien, Raqibul Hasan, Saqlain Sajib, Lendl Simmons, Wahab Riaz, Abu Jayed, Qiunton de Kock, Jubair Hossain, Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohammad Nabi, Murad Khan, Thisara Perera, Darren Sammy, Sachitra Senanayeke, Soumya Sarkar, Muktar Ali, Rasel Al Mamun, Md Al Amin, Nazmul Hossain. The Riders went up in appeal for a caught behind decision against Mushfiqur Rahim which the umpire turned down. Agitated, Shakib started abusing the umpire as well. It was clear from the replays that whatever he had said left umpire Tanvir shocked and speechless. The incident is even stranger because the 28-year-old all-rounder is one of the most accomplished and respected cricketers in the worldwide circuit, let alone Bangladesh cricket.
Shakib, who is known for his disciplinary problems, had been suspended by the Bangladesh Cricket Board for six months a year ago for a “severe attitude problem”.
He was also handed a three-match ban in the same year for a lewd gesture towards a television cameraman during a one-day global match against Sri Lanka.

Match referee Selim Shahed imposed the fine after the player pleaded guilty to the offence. As such, he will not be able to take the field for Rangpur’s game against Comilla Victorians today (Friday). The Riders are sitting at the top of the points table with 6 points, but the absence of their captain will come as a blow to them.
