If Turkey and Russian Federation are at odds, it will only benefit

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that if Russian Federation proves that he buys oil from the IS terrorist group, he will resign.

Russian Federation has vowed to carry out broad retaliatory measures against Turkey’s economy to avenge the downing of its warplane by Turkey earlier this week.

The shooting down of the jet by the Turkish air force on Tuesday was one of the most serious clashes between a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation member and Russian Federation, and further complicated global efforts to battle Islamic State militants.

Russian Federation continues to be carrying out air strikes against adversaries of President Bashar al-Assad since late September.

“This cabinet has the mission of taking Turkey to a new horizon …(We) will make all our promises come true”, Davutoglu told a news conference in Ankara.

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has said that his country exercised its “international right and national duty” by downing a Russian warplane which the authorities in Ankara said had violated the Turkish airspace.

“The American side, which heads the coalition by which Turkey takes part, understood in regards to the time as well as the area where our airplanes were”, he added.

But Erdogan denied Ankara was collaborating with IS. “Otherwise the only victors will be Daesh… and the Syrian regime”, he said, using an Arabic term for IS jihadists.

“If you are seeking the source of weaponry and financial power of Daesh, the first place to look is the Assad regime and countries that act with it”, he said.

Turkey will not apologize for downing the Russian fighter jet that Turkey says violated its airspace near the Syrian border, Erdogan said Thursday in an exclusive CNN interview.

Erdogan called Russian Federation a “strategic partner” which he said required solidarity rather threats. “We regret that”, said Putin.

“If the same incursion happens today, Turkey will be obliged to retaliate”, Erdogan said.

“Our country s stance against Daesh has been clear since the very beginning”, Erdogan said in a speech to local officials at his presidential palace in the Turkish capital. “Targeting Russia or any other country is out of the question”.
