Police say the burglar got into a home on Union Street in Flushing, Queens around 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
The incident happened around 2.20am on Wednesday at the family’s home in Queens, New York.
He proceeds to move from room to room, looking for items to steal, before crawling into the bedroom where the entire family was sleeping.
The burglary suspect spent about 40 minutes wandering through the home’s different rooms, with his journey captured by surveillance cameras.
A woman asleep in a nearby bed said that she had set up the video camera to monitor her three children, aged between 3 and 6 years old, who were sleeping in another nearby bed at the time.
The suspect removed a Samsung S6 cell phone from on top of a bedroom dresser and fled on foot when the victim awoke. He was last seen wearing black clothing and a black snow cap with the world “diamond” written in red and white lettering.
