In addition to the jaw-dropping sales of “25”, renewed interest in the British pop-soul singer has resulted in the re-appearance of her “21” and “19” albums, which re-entered the charts and sold 28,000 and 17,000 copies this week, respectively.

Completing this week’s Top 5 are One Direction with their former Number 1 album, Made In The A.M.

The “25” album has already surpassed the “single-week album sales record” previously held by NSYNC’s “No Strings Attached” with 2.416 record sales in March 26, 2000. Some have even speculated that it could even go on to overtake Queen’s Greatest Hits to become Britain’s biggest selling album of all time.

However, Oasis continue to hold the sales record for the first three days with their third album, Be Here Now, which shifted 696,000 sales when it was released in August 1997.

He wrote: “We officially say Bye Bye Bye as @Adele says Hello to the World Record of Most Albums Sold In a Single Week”.

“Adele’s touring past hints towards a small tour once again”.

Adele’s third album has also “has done the seemingly impossible”, according to Billboard magazine, and sold more than three million in one week in the US. “It is on course to match 21, and becoming the biggest selling studio album of all time is within its grasp”.

“When Taylor Swift did 1.3 million previous year, people looked at that and said, ‘Wow, how can something like that happen in this day and age?'”Bakula said”.
