Bears beat Packers 17-13
The defense helped make Thursday night a Thanksgiving to remember for the Chicago Bears.

The Bears’ defeated the Green Bay Packers 17-13 on Thursday night behind stellar play from their defense and an efficient game from quarterback Jay Cutler.
The Goats: Rodgers’ stats didn’t look much like usual, as his receivers were dropping balls in the wet conditions. McCarthy said it “wasn’t even a rub play” involving James Jones and Randall Cobb that led to the penalty on Jones and ultimately forced the Packers to kick a field goal.
Cornerback Tracy Porter intercepted Rodgers’ pass with 3:19 left at the Bears 45 on the previous drive.
In his first year in Chicago, Fox has instilled confidence in his team that they can hang tough in close games. “That’s the last thing we talked about”.
Aaron Rodgers lost feeling in his left hand after a hit. Cutler was able to out play Aaron Rodgers in Lambeau on national TV and lead the Bears to a victory.
Jay Cutler was turnover free: He nearly lost a fumble on a snap that came quicker than he expected and he threw a couple “almost” interceptions, including one that hit a Packer in the hands. A bigger problem was that Dom Capers’s defense just seemed outmatched by Chicago offensive coordinator Adam Gase. Unfortunately for the team as a whole, Green Bay only picked up one win in that span.
At halftime on a rainy, sloppy holiday night at Lambeau Field, screaming, drenched Packers fans watched in delight as their legendary quarterback, Brett Favre, the man they once booed when he returned to this very field in a Vikings uniform in 2009, had his retired number unveiled during a touching and heartfelt ceremony.
Chicago (5-6) has won three of its last four.
Chicago Bears right tackle Kyle Long couldn’t resist the temptation to rub it in after two blowout losses to the Green Bay Packers a year ago.
“Our passing game is not where it needs to be”, McCarthy said.
But McCarthy’s offense couldn’t capitalize, moving quickly up the field on its final two drives only to come up short.
“I just think that I’m obviously going to have to make sure that my preparation is as high as it’s ever been because we’ve got to get on the same page in the passing game”, Rodgers said. “Those power runners, when they fight for extra yardage, sometimes the first thing that gets sloppy is the ball security”. Pass blocking struggled to cope with the usual Green Bay slot blitz, but the screen game delivered ball control and Cutler maintained a 90.8 passer rating, finding Alshon Jeffery seven times for 90 yards and Marc Mariani three times for 35 yards to extend drives. Lacy averaged 6.2 yards per carry against the Bears, bowling over defenders easily.
Bryant, in his eighth National Football League season, spent his first six with the Seattle Seahawks, who drafted him in the fourth round out of Texas in 2008. In the second quarter, he fumbled at the end of a 15-yard run. The Bears main focus should be how they can build on this game and finish the rest of the season strong, not on the playoffs. After all, nine touchdown passes and two interceptions during the Packers’ 1-4 record in November paints a picture that little blame should lie with him.

The Bears had three-and-out punts on four of their first five possessions but took over at the Packers’ 34-yard line in middle of the second quarter when Prosinski stripped Lacy from behind, with Houston recovering.
