Holm stayed unbeaten with her win over Rousey, which was her seventh career stoppage in 10 MMA fights.

Ronda Rousey and Floyd Mayweather have taken jabs at each other in the media throughout the year, Fox Sports reported.

“LMAO FLOYD TOLD ME TO POST THIS, he want me to do the dirty work”, 50 Cent posted beneath the picture. “If you need help as far as with boxing, I’m here to help you”, Mayweather told Fight Hype’s Ben Thompson.

“Holly is a great champion and you can’t take that away from her”. It started when Mayweather said of Rousey in 2014: “I don’t even know who he is”. Certain things you have to learn. “So I’m excited for her, and hopefully she’ll get the exposure she needs to take her career to the next level”.

Rousey and Mayweather’s sniping first started in July, after she won the ESPY for Best Fighter, for which Mayweather was also a nominee. “I do feel like I come from maybe a little more humble spot, but that’s just because I don’t wanna ever say, “I’m this good” or “I’m that” and then have something happen and look like a fool”. This was already written. “‘Preacher’s daughter’ my ass – I see through your fake sweet act now – you’re getting your ass kicked tomorrow, and I’m really going to enjoy the beating I give you #andSTILL”.

Rousey broke her silence last night on Instagram, thanking her fans for the support and writing “as I said before, I’ll take some time but I’ll be back”.

Longtime Rousey rival Miesha Tate reacted to the loss, with a profane ‘you just got beat, b***h!’ Tate and Bethe Correia were among several competitors who reacted gleefully to Holm’s KO of Rousey. She had a ideal, flawless game plan.
