ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) – While Cam Newton was doing the twist for the undefeated Panthers, Tony Romo and the Cowboys were in no mood to dance.

Not that the Cowboys had much of a chance this season anyways. It’s the second this season that he has broken the same collarbone.
The Cowboys are 3-8, but they are winless in the seven games in which Romo did not start. The defending NFC East champions were already headed to an eighth loss in nine games a week after Romo ended the skid in his return at Miami.
But now that dream is dead.
“It was tough. We worked hard to come back”. If it can happen once, and twice, a third time would not seem too unrealistic. Although x-rays at the stadium were ruled “inconclusive”, Romo and everyone in the interview room when he came out to meet with the media KNEW he was done for the season.

Instead of the comeback turning into something special, it now raises questions about Romo’s future.
The Thanksgiving game against the Cowboys was just another notch in the Panthers’ belt as they continue their unbeaten march through the 2015 season.

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said that the incident was not a product of poor judgment. The 10-year veteran had hoped to play through the injury, but was not making progress after six weeks of rest. Ratings would be through the roof during those games if Tebow is the quarterback for the Cowboys. He’s also undergone three back surgeries.
Carolina led 13-3 when Kuechly and the NFL’s leading defense for takeaways put the Panthers firmly in control. Jonathan Stewart rushed 21 times for 68 yards.

Newton was superb, connecting on 16-of-27 passes for 183 yards and rushing for 45 yards and a touchdown. Williams is Buffalo’s longest-tenured player and a four-time Pro Bowler. They beamed with joy when three first-round talents fell to them over draft weekend (Byron Jones, Randy Gregory and La’el Collins). Newton capped the drive himself with a 4-yard touchdown run.
