Byron Scott maintains confidence that Kobe Bryant will find his shot

“We still understand that this is a process”, Scott said. He also shot 1-of-14 in a loss last season to the San Antonio Spurs. “My shooting will be better, we’ll be better”.

Bryant went 1 for 7 from 3-point range in 25 minutes as Los Angeles lost its fourth in a row and eighth in nine. “We have bigger problems” not sure if Kobe’s talking about the coaching/ system or the other players on the team. Nearly all of Kobe’s shots were contested jumpers where Bryant got very little separation.

Honestly, I hope the Lakers and Kobe find a balance soon, because they have become just hard to watch.

“I’ve got faith in Kobe that he’ll be OK, but [Tuesday night] he was really struggling”, Scott said.

The outcome of the game was never really in doubt after the Warriors raced out to a 19-point lead at the end of the first quarter, ultimately cruising to a 111-77 win.

Bryant, slowed by age and past injuries, has looked like a shadow of his former self this year and that was never more apparent then against Golden State who blasted the Lakers to improve to a record 16-0.

“We talk about 33”, Curry said in a conference call with global reporters. He said that they should learn to “play systematically” in order to keep them in ball games. “I doubt he’ll do it, but I think Kobe should retire right now”.

Coach Byron Scott gave Bryant the day off Wednesday when the rest of the team practiced, but said he has not considered reducing Bryant’s minutes or role on the floor. “I know fans are (ticked) off and not happy and all that”. Scott told the media a couple of days ago that Russell is now calling 90 percent of the plays on offense so he clearly has shown some improvement this season and warrants a minutes increase. “It will take me a while to get into the type of shape I’m used to being in”. They will play three sets of back-to-back games on the trip, meaning Scott might have to figure out when to sit Bryant. But that was about 15 years ago, and one of their star players was Shaquille O’Neal, who spends his days making television appearances. I don’t think the way we approach things here is for everybody.

“I’m always looking for ’em, me personally”, point guard Shaun Livingston said of setting up 3-point shooters.
