Bindi, 17, and her pro dance partner Derek Hough appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” today (Nov. 25) to talk about their victory.
“Bindi, thank you for showing me the true meaning of taking whatever life throws at me and turning it into a positive!” she posted.
Hough told his young dance partner: “I’ve never seen anybody quite like you”. She and Hough consistently received high scores and eventually winning the mirror ball trophy. “I can’t believe that I’m here”, said Irwin.
It was a touching moment when this year’s winners were crowned at the conclusion of Dancing With the Stars season 21 this year. He was as loved as his daughter now is, and the tribute Bindi Irwin performed was a attractive way to express not only her own love for her father, but the love that the entire world shared for him as well.
Steve, an Australian legend known also as the “Crocodile Hunter” was a wildlife specialist who got killed by a stingray barb that pierced through his heart. “Just, thank you for changing my life”, said Irwin.
On Instagram, Irwin captioned a picture of her victory, “I am speechless”.
“I have tried to just remember his strength knowing that dad is kind of still with me”.
Ahead of the show, Ms Irwin tweeted the last photo of her with her mum and dad before his death.
“No, no way, her opinion’s the only one that matters to me, so, I’m happy”, Skarlatos said with a laugh.
She wrote: “The last photo ever taken of us as a family”.
