76ers rookie Jahlil Okafor involved in Boston street fight
TMZ released a video Thursday of the incident that occurred in front of Storyville Boston nightclub that showed a man it identified as Okafor verbally sparring with several individuals.

When he broke free, Okafor allegedly began punching the man with a closed fist and knocking him to the ground, police said. “You’ll never win a game, ‘” a source close to Okafor told ESPN’s Jeff Goodman of the altercation.
The victim said Okafor “struck him with a closed fist and knocked him to the ground”, and he suffered a cut above his eye, which required stitches, police said. “I think the guy was just talking (expletive), saying the Sixers (stink)”.
The situation has drawn in even more negative attention from the mainstream media and has caused the 76ers to question the future of Okafor.
“We are aware that there is an ongoing investigation regarding the alleged incident and are unable to comment further”.
Canaan provided an all-around game, tallying 12 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal, with two blocks, while Covington had a double-double 11 points and 14 rebounds that came along with six steals and two blocks.
The Philadelphia 76ers are a pitiful 0-16 to start the 2015-2016 regular season and the stress of failure has apparently gotten to their promising rookie, Jahil Okafor. When it’s all said and done though, Okafor will face a suspension and hopefully will learn from this incident.
“It doesn’t happen often”, Okafor said Friday of being heckled.
Okafor was not suspended from Friday night’s game against the Houston Rockets.
Jahlil Okafor, the Philadelphia 76ers rookie involved in a fight outside a Boston nightclub early Thursday, termed his behavior “dumb” and “embarrassing” Friday.
Unfortunately for the Sixers, they again failed to provide an affirming answer despite heading into the final minutes against Boston Celtics on Wednesday in the lead. “But we are still going to through the process of what we are going to do”.
“I’m ashamed with what I did and that’s not who I am”, Okafor said.
Earlier in the night, Philadelphia’s awful start to the season continued, losing 84-80 to the Celtics, with Okafor recording 19-points and nine rebounds.
