Sanchez is like a hunting lion, says Arsenal boss Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that Alexis Sanchez would have been the ideal tennis player, as per the Daily Star.

A couple of weeks ago I would have played down our chances, but Arsenal losing at West Brom last weekend, and perhaps more importantly losing Francis Coquelin to injury, there’s an opportunity to get at them.

The Standard estimates that the journey would take around two and a half hours by road but Wenger says some planned roadworks on the route meant travel with a coach was not an option. The French manager is astonished by the player’s fitness levels, which see him perform at his best despite travelling to Chile during the scheduled worldwide breaks and arriving just under 48 hours before donning the Arsenal colours in the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger wants Arsenal to put their “nightmare” defeat to West Bromwich Albion behind them once and for all when they take on Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday.

“It is all linked to a mixture of flexibility, the sense of how far you can push your body and the sensitivity of when you have to ease off on your bodyweight”. “But then he recovers and gives 100 per cent again”.

Having somewhat cryptically replied that Sanchez gets exhausted if rested, Wenger admitted ahead of Sunday’s trip to Norwich that the 26-year-old is constantly surprising him with his eagerness to commit to the cause.

“You always see signs of exhaustion but it’s not that because two days later he’s fine”.

“He plays with a very committed and explosive style”. They are like the lion. They are like the lion, he has to catch the animal in the first 200 metres. She said: ‘They appear to live in some kind of a bubble, entirely separate from the rest of us’.

“I’m a bit loathe to analyse the Premier League teams because you know that when you go there, it’s always a special game for them”. “But even when so-called bigger teams come to our place, they have been happy to sit behind the ball, soak up pressure and hit you on the counter attack and that sort of surprised me”.

Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere took this plane for a pre-season tour of Singapore- but do Arsenal need one to go to Norwich
