Mercedes won the Formula 1 championship for 2nd consecutive year as well as to commemorate the win, Mercedes Benz have brought out Mercedes AMG A45 4MATIC Champions edition.

In terms of colour, Mercedes-AMG actually offer three different shades of grey; mountain grey metallic, designo mountain grey magno and polar silver metallic. Last year victories led to the SL 63 AMG World Champion Edition by Hamilton and Rosberg – and, given Mercedes’ current form in F1’s V6 Hybrid turbo era, we may have another to look forward to next year.

Apart from this, the new special edition gets 19 inch titanium grey alloys in new design with petrol green rim flange.

Furthermore, the vehicle comes with the Night package, AMG Performance seats, AMG Exclusive package, as well as the AMG Dynamic Plus package. The “fine petrol green” topstitching on the armrests and dashboard, the petrol green rings in the air vents plus the seat belts, also with petrol green highlight strips, round off the motorsport impression.

The special edition A45 AMG, or, to use its full name, the Mercedes A45 AMG 2015 World Champion Edition, is nothing more than a cosmetic tweak.

With a maximum output of 280 kW (381 hp) the A 45 4MATIC features standard-fit AMG Performance all-wheel drive and front axle differential lock.

This colour scheme continues inside as contrasting stitching on the special performance seats with increased lateral support and race-focused steering wheel with 12 o’clock marker.

The powertrain for the special edition remains the same as the one powering the standard A45 AMG. In Germany, it’ll be priced at €65,402 (RM293,800), or €66,818 (RM300,200) with the matte designo mountain grey magno paint.
