In a statement forwarded to DAILY POST by his media assistant, Paul Mumeh, the immediate past Senate President expressed faith that he will still win even if the election was conducted a hundred times.

Onjeh insisted that Mark rigged his way in for the fifth term, hence his decision to approach the tribunal.

According to Channels TV, Mr Onjeh’s lawyer, Adetunji Oso, argued that the tribunal erred when it held that the papers tendered by his client were mere documentary hearsay.

The APC candidate headed to the appeal court to challenge the verdict of the panel and on Saturday, the appellate court ruled in favour of Onjeh.

“The appellant showed by oral evidence that collation of results was still ongoing a day after the declaration of results of the election in seven local government areas of the district”. Therefore the election of Senator David Mark is hereby set aside.
