Wichita State big man Anton Grady was stretchered off of the floor in the second half of a loss to Alabama after a nasty collision with Dazon Ingram.

Southern California players applauded for Grady as the stretcher passed by. Has feeling in his extremities but he can’t move.

The coach’s daughter, Maggie Marshall, said she was “thankful he is okay” in a tweet in which she said Grady would be “out for a few days”. A CT scan on Grady came back negative, and he had an MRI later Friday.

“In the second half, as I told our players in the locker room, it was a little bit their fault, a little bit my fault”, Mack said. The impact caused his head to rotate to one side.

WSU coach Gregg Marshall described Grady as alert during a postgame news conference.

Boatwright said the Dunk City run of 2013 was a major factor in him picking USC over Arizona, Florida, Kansas, UCLA, UConn, etc.

USC: The Trojans were looking to win two games in the same season against Top 25 teams for the first time since 2010-11…. “It’s been the same story in all three of our losses”. Norris then made one of two free throws before Baker’s missed three at the buzzer. Why Wichita State Will Win The Shockers do a really good job of making the most of their possessions.

The Tide would again respond, this time with back-to-back threes from Shannon Hale and Riley Norris to retake the lead, 58-55, and never trailed again.

Baker had 25 points and Markis McDuffie added 14 for Wichita State, which also lost 77-67 to Tulsa on November 17.

McDuffie and Baker combined for all the points during a 12-0 run that put Wichita State ahead by six points, 49-43, seven minutes into the second half.

Denzel Valentine had a triple-double of 29 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, and the Spartans (5-0) routed the Eagles (3-1) in an opening-round game at the DirectTV Wooden Legacy in Fullerton, Calif.

It was a complete contrast to the way Xavier started out against Alabama on Thursday, when the Muskies led just 27-24 at the break before finally pulling away from the Crimson Tide to win 64-45. With VanVleet and Shamet both likely to miss today’s matchup, oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI have installed Wichita State as a 2.5-point favorite over USC. It was the first win for the Crimson Tide over a ranked opponent since January 18, 2011, when Alabama downed then-No.
