Ex-Jets linebacker Quinton Coples claimed off waivers by Mike Tannenbaum’s
Last week the Dolphins fell to the Dallas Cowboys 24-14, breaking a Dallas seven-game losing streak and raising more question marks in Miami. “It’s a big game for us, so we need to go up there and play confidently and come home with a win”. NY quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick struggled to score points, throwing one touchdown to two interceptions in a frustrating loss. I know what type of player and person I am.

Only the Cleveland Browns are worse when it comes to defending the run. RB Lamar Miller averaging 112.8 yards from scrimmage in last six games and has five rushing TDs and two TD catches in that span….
The Dolphins are 16th in sacks per pass play.
On the season, the Miami Dolphins average 247.2 yards in passing and 103.0 yards in rushing.
Dolphins interim head coach Dan Campbell said he’s seen Coples progress this week, but it’s still unclear how much of a role the ex-Jet will have Sunday against his former team. Miami claimed OLB Quinton Coples off waivers from the Jets on Tuesday to help their injury-ravaged front seven, but he also should be able to provide some inside info on the Jets’ defense. “Again, as insane as it sounds, it’s a little bit of an adjustment from what he’s been doing”.
“Schematically, he knows our base defense and the sub defense and some of the things that we do I’m sure. We’re going to have to get more production out of you'”. The Dolphins lost Cameron Wake, a Pro Bowl defensive end, at the beginning of the season due to an Achilles tendon tear. “In London we kind of got into a game where we threw the ball a lot and I don’t think that’s really effective for our offense”, center Mike Pouncey said.
Bowles’ arrival signified a new start for Coples, who was under the impression he’d return to his pass-rushing ways and up his sack total tremendously.
Jenkins, who sprained his left ankle in Miami’s 20-19 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, was cleared by the Dolphins trainers to resume practice, and worked with the starting unit during Thursday morning’s session. Jets lead series, 52-46-1.
“I see a guy who has looked better every day, looked a little more comfortable with what we’re trying to do”, Campbell said. “He got a few snaps and it’s still day-to-day for him but, I was encouraged”. Coples has eight combined tackles this season and a fumble recovery.
