Texans QB Hoyer to start Sunday

“We’re 1-1 in the division”, O’Brien said.

If he can’t go T.J. Yates will get his first start since he was a rookie on January 15, 2012, when the Texans lost 20-13 to the Ravens in the playoffs.

Today’s New York Jets vs Houston Texans NFL football game has a start time schedule of 1:00pm eastern time and airs on TV channel CBS in some markets along with DirecTV Sunday Ticket nationwide.

Yates said he understands the situation, accepting that Hoyer is the Texans’ unquestioned starter.

“He just kind of undercut the rout”, Fitzpatrick said. “He’s got my full support”. One was on a backpass from Yates to WR Cecil Shorts, who let it fly for RB Alfred Blue for a 21-yard score and a 17-10 lead. Hopkins finished with five receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns, including a 61-yard second-quarter strike against Revis that underscored the Texans’ willingness to challenge Revis with their top receiver. Revis left the game with a concussion during the third quarter. Gailey went on to state, “We were talking about it the other day, and he reminds me of the way we used to have to handle Howie Long- same type of player”.

SHORTS DOES IT ALL: Shorts did a little bit of everything for the Texans on Sunday while running their newly unveiled Wildcat formation. Nevertheless, instead they ended up surrendering 19 first downs, 364 yards of offense, 123 rushing yards and 241 passing yards.

All three won this week (Jacksonville beat Tennessee on Thursday), and all three still have one game remaining against the other two. It was the exact same play Shorts executed against Houston past year for the Jaguars. The plays of the game were: Marcus Williams’ strip sack and recovery, Brandon Marshall’s 21-yard touchdown grab, Fitzpatrick’s 6-yard touchdown rush, Ivory’s 23-yard rush, and Bilal Powell’s 25-yard reception.

“There’s a lot of throws I needed to make that I didn’t make, and obviously having two chances there at the end and not coming up with a touchdown on one of those drives hurts”. The already brutal ground game gets a rough matchup as well, as the Jets’ defensive front has been nasty at home, allowing just 3.7 yards per carry and one touchdown on 136 attempts.

Devin Smith was selected by the New York Jets to make the big play.

“Before, when I watched football, he’s probably a faster version of Randy White from the Cowboys”, Bowles said.

“I’m still committed to Ryan, I just don’t think he played very well”, Bowles said. Quarterback T.J. Yates threw him a fade pass in the corner of the end zone, but Jets safety Calvin Pryor broke it up and Watt was unable to haul in.

It was the fourth time in his career he’d had a pass thrown to him and had reeled in each of the previous three for touchdowns. He said of Watt, “He’s one of the premier defensive players in the league, if not the premier defensive player in the league”. They have an aging offensive line that next Sunday might be without Pro Bowl center Nick Mangold, who left the game early after gashing his right hand between his ring finger and pinky.
