Bumbling start for LSU as Tigers trail Ole Miss in

Miles on Saturday sounded like a man questioning the run-first, I-formation offensive philosophy – one he has held throughout his time in Baton Rouge. The boosters are said to be willing to pay Miles’ $15 million buyout. It’s not how we practice. So what I’ve always done is, I put my head down and I go to work.

The Tigers started off a bit slow, but as the crowd began file in for the ensuing basketball game, the girls took their opportunity to show everyone what they were made of.

Miles may only have one game left, too. They’re still a top-25 team even with the losses, but this isn’t the National Title year fans were predicting just a few weeks ago.

Miles said he planned to address his job security with the team on Monday. “I’m so busy doing my job”.

It was pretty much all Ole Miss from there on out, however, as the Rebels scored two more touchdowns by the end of the half.

“We’re rolling”, Kelly said.

Asked if he and his teammates are playing for Miles’ job, LaCouture said no. “We don’t pay attention to outside sources”.

Late in the game, facing a 4th and goal from the Ole Miss 3, LSU called a timeout.

Fournette, however, stands just 105 yards from breaking the program’s single-season rushing record set by Charles Alexander in 1977.

Chad Kelly finished 19-of-34 for 280 yards in the air and two TDs.

Since the 8-0 SEC season in 2011, though, LSU has fallen in the SEC to 6-2, 5-3, 4-4 and now is 4-2.

Its defense played well in limiting LSU running back Leonard Fournette to 108 yards on 25 carries and didn’t allow him to score a touchdown for the first time this season. Miles chose to move Ole Miss back instead of forcing a potential 43-yard field goal.

It’s the first three-game losing streak for the Tigers since 1999, when Gerry DiNardo was sacked after a 2-8 start.

Down 24-0, Harris found freshman Tyron Johnson on a 39-yard touchdown pass and the Tigers went into halftime down 24-7.

It’s been extremely hard to predict how the Ole Miss football team will play all season.

However, Ole Miss would also need Auburn to beat Alabama on Saturday, an unlikely event.

Today’s LSU Tigers vs Ole Miss Rebels football game on CBS Sports live TV and live streaming online came very close to being a marquee match up on this packed NCAA football day.
