Freezing Rain To Continue Saturday Morning

A sharp cold front is slipping southeast across the region, bringing with it much colder air from the Arctic. Freezing rain is expected in southern Nebraska and central Kansas.

It’s still early to say, but the Omaha metro area is likely to see at least a couple inches of snow.
Another round of light snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected Friday night into Saturday morning for KAKEland. That time period will stretch into Black Friday – drive safely if you’re one of the red-eyed holiday shoppers.
Travel conditions will improve by mid-day Saturday as temperatures begin to slowly climb to near freezing by noon, then to the mid 30s by 5 pm.
