Cal beats ASU 48-46
On Saturday night in Berkeley, the Bears walked away with a 48-46 win over Arizona State, improving their record to 7-5. Goff completed 30 of 51 passes for a school-record 542 yards in what could moreover be his last game at Memorial Stadium. The Golden Bears’ record-setting quarterback is projected as a first-round pick in the 2016 National Football League draft should he forgo his senior year.

California (7-5, 4-5 Pac-12) trailed by 21 points midway through the second quarter but outscored Arizona State 38-19 over the final two quarters.
The Bears have allowed Goff to be sacked just six times the past five games, despite him attempting 214 passes over that span. “There were times we didn’t do well and that costs us”.
Arizona State built a 17-point lead by halftime thanks to the pass-happy duo of quarterback Mike Bercovici and receiver Devin Lucien.
Other possible destinations include the Armed Forces Bowl on December 29 in Fort Worth, Texas, and the Heart of Texas Bowl on December 26 at Dallas.
Six plays later, Anderson kicked the winning field goal.
Goff connected with Hansen for 52 yards on the Bears’ opening possession of the half, then a 12-yarder to Harris. While the Sun Devils have excelled up front, the secondary could struggle to contain Cal wide receivers Kenny Lawler, Darius Powe and Bryce Treggs, who have combined for 20 touchdowns.
Arizona State lacks anyone in McCaffrey’s class, but it is playing well with back-to-back wins following three straight losses.
California place kicker Matt Anderson (9) is lifted by teammates after kicking the game-winning field goal against Arizona State during the second half of an NCAA college football game in Berkeley, Calif., Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015.
Goff pushed his career passing marks to 11,733 yards (third-most in Pac-12 history) and 90 touchdowns (tied for fourth all-time in the Pac-12) and became the first Cal quarterback to throw for more than 4,000 yards (4,252) in a season.

Lucien finished with eight catches for 200 yards. Bercovici would find Lucien two more times in the end zone, once for three yards, and the next for 36 yards. “Obviously Zane and the special teams unit did an incredible job”. It still wasn’t enough to cool down Goff, as he threw a pass to Khalf Muhammad on a play that went 58 yards for a touchdown. As ASU settled for another Gonzalez field goal – this time from 31 yards out – Cal worked together another seamless drive on offense, as Goff heated up and found Maurice Harris for a 9-yard touchdown to cut the deficit to 33-31.
