Fisher continues to dominate the state, sweeping Miami and Florida for the third consecutive year and increasing his record to 10-2 against the Seminoles’ two in-state rivals. If Florida is able to beat archrival Florida State this weekend, only Alabama stands in between them and their first trip to the College Football Playoffs.

The Seminoles probably locked up a spot in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on December 31 in Atlanta.
The Florida State Seminoles are no longer contenders for the national championship.
Florida reached the red zone twice Saturday, but failed to convert a fourth-and-2 play and had a 37-yard field goal blocked.
Quarterback Treon Harris was the biggest problem once again. He was sacked four times.
“The defense was awesome, it was tremendous”, Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher said.

Florida announced prior to the game it had suspended leading receiver Demarcus Robinson for the fourth time in three seasons.
The Gators (10-2) announced the suspension about 75 minutes before kickoff.
“It will be interesting in the building of this organization to see how we rebound, ” McElwain said. That goes to this cop, who saw an errant pass from Maguire come flying toward the stands and knew this was his moment to shine. This season has created an entirely new Gators team.
