Michael A. Jones, 44, of Piper, outside of Kansas City, has been arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, aggravated battery and child abuse after cops responded to a domestic violence call on Wednesday, according to News2.
Wyandotte County authorities have announced the arrest of a man connected to the case of human remains found during the search for a 7-year-old boy.
Police came to the home Wednesday morning on a report of Michael Jones attacking his wife and firing a gun at her. As the investigation progressed, someone told them to check for the decomposed body of a missing 7-year-old boy.
He is also accused of torturing or cruelly beating his 7-year-old son.
His bond was set at $10 million.
An anonymous caller told the police to check the back of Jones’ property for the remains of the family’s missing 7-year-old child.
Human remains were found on the property. “Trash everywhere. Dried food all over the house”.
The New York Daily News reports that investigators fear that Jones killed his son, one of his eight children, and fed him to pigs.
Police have not been able to positively identify those remains yet.
Former babysitters said that several people had complained to child services about alleged ill-treatment of the children.
Jones is affiliated with a bail bonding company that operates in northeast Kansas.
