He then sent out another picture soon after inside a room overlooking one of Wimbledon’s outside courts, wearing a hat and shirt.
Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton has been refused entry to the Royal Box at Wimbledon after failing to meet the strict dress code.
Lewis Hamilton also posted on Instagram: “On my way to Wimbledon to watch the final”.
Hamilton has been enjoying some down time during the three-week break before the Hungarian Grand Prix, revelling in his third home victory at Silverstone last weekend.
Lewis Hamilton was barred from entering the Royal Box during the Wimbledon final on Sunday because he was not wearing a jacket and tie.
A Wimbledon spokesman confirmed that the driver had left before the match was over but would not comment on why.
The All England Club would not comment on reports that he was shown the red flag as the men’s final between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer got underway. “We are not commenting further”.
Men who are invited to the exclusive box on Centre Court must wear a jacket, tie and shoes.

A Wimbledon spokesman later added: “If he was not adequately dressed you could infer that he would not have been let in, but we do not comment on our guests”. Actresses Kate Winslet, Helena Bonham Carter and Kristin Scott Thomas were spotted watching the final on Centre Court, as were veteran actor Sir John Hurt, who recently said he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, ex- Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, Italian football World Cup victor Alessandro Del Piero, actor Clive Owen and Vogue fashion magazine editor Anna Wintour.
