The New Orleans Saints (4-6) are coming from a bye after losing to the Washington Redskins 47-14 in Week 10.

Watt leads the league with 11.5 sacks. Watt now has 68.5 career sacks over four-plus seasons.

The Texans opened both halves with offensive flurries, covering 70 and 50 yards while engineering touchdown drives behind quarterback Brian Hoyer.

Watt has 19 career games with at least two sacks, which ties him with Hall of Famer Richard Dent for the second-most of any player in his first five seasons. Alfred Blue led in rushing with 58 yards in 21 carries.

However, while the defence began to improve as the first half wore on, Drew Brees’s offense was continually stifled by the Texans and the NFC South outfit were limited to two Kai Forbath field goals – one from a career-best 57 yards – to bring themselves to within eight at half time.

The last time the Saints didn’t score a touchdown was December 24, 2005 against Detroit and Brees’ last game without a touchdown pass came on November 29, 2012 against Atlanta.

The Houston Texans handed the New Orleans Saints their third consecutive loss Sunday at NRG Stadium, 24-6. Griffin missed seven games on short-term injured reserve, and the touchdown marked the Texans’ first score on an opening possession this season….

He did top the 3,000-yard barrier, however, the 13th time he’s done that.
