Tigers Lose to Arkansas 28-3, in Pinkel’s Final Game
Donavin Newsom had a good game, reaching double digit tackles and forcing one fumble. No matter, whether the seniors are headed to the National Football League or the real world, their teammates will want to send them out with a bang. “That’s one of the pillars”.

With the Iron Bowl approaching… we look back on what could have been with the 2015 Auburn Tigers.
McGovern compared the bowl experience to a big family vacation.
“That’s a primo date and time”, Ehrhart said. “You get sweat shirts and T-shirts and cool stuff like that, too”.
The 5-6 Missouri Tigers visit the Arkansas Razorbacks for only the second time in program history on Friday, making a trip that will eventually become a rite of passage for Mizzou players now that the Arkansas game has been designated as the Tigers’ protected cross-divisional rivalry until at least 2025 by the SEC.
Late in the fourth quarter, Aarion Penton picked off Brandon Allen. Win or lose in the bowl, the Hogs turnaround from starting 1-3 to finishing 7-5 has been truly incredible.
Following a talk from Pinkel in Missouri’s somber locker room after the game, the enormity of Pinkel’s exit – and the uncertainty of the future – began to set in for the Tigers. That is, unless some type of special exception is made due to a lack of bowl-eligible teams, which is a possibility considering that 80 teams are needed to fill out the bowl schedule this winter, and just 71 teams are now bowl-eligible heading into this weekend’s slate of games.
Bielema has experienced his share of emotions over the last three seasons while rebuilding the Razorbacks (6-5, 4-3 Southeastern Conference), from disappointment to moments of hope and excitement for the future. In 2014, Pinkel accrued $900,000 in bonuses, the most in college football.
“This is the only moment I’ve been thinking about it”, Pinkel said after the game when asked about Friday being his finale. “I think that’s the memory he’ll want in those pictures 10, 15, 20 years from now. That’s where my focus is”. Though he has proven over the last half of the season that he is quite capable of winning games through more exciting methods, there should be no questioning that Bret Bielema’s favorite way to win is through suffocation.
But then again, the 63-year-old Pinkel hadn’t really thought about the end until his diagnosis with lymphoma in May – something he revealed publicly earlier this month while announcing his resignation following the end of the season.
Pinkel said whoever replaces him will take over a solid program, despite this season’s struggles. Over the last five games, Missouri’s opponents have only averaged 190.0 yards through the air.

“Man I came here to play football for coach Pinkel and get an education but the way we let him go out is an embarrassment”.
