Les Miles to remain Head Coach for LSU Football
Then LSU defeated Texas A&M amid a smallish – for Tiger Stadium – crowd of about 80,000 that cheered Miles before the game during Senior Night ceremonies and chanted that he remain coach as the game ended.

“There’s probably a guy or two I’d like to meet in an alley and have a little straight-talk with”, Miles said following the Tigers’ 19-7 win over Texas A&M.
“I want to make it very clear and positive that Les Miles is our football coach and he will continue to be our football coach”, Alleva said.
LSU head coach Les Miles celebrates after an NCAA college football game against Texas A&M in Baton Rouge, La., Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015.
And no time was any bigger than the January 2012 Sugar Bowl, when Saban’s Crimson Tide dominated LSU on both sides of the ball to take home the BCS National Championship.
Some of the very aspects of LSU’s game that have bothered Miles’ critics for years showed up against the Aggies (8-4, 4-4).
What an insane weekend for LSU football. Over the last ten seasons, no college football coach has been more entertaining than Les Miles and no program has been as consistently good as LSU.
Now, it’s back to business for Miles and LSU to try and hold together what could be a terrific recruiting class for 2016. “How? Telegraph. [School president] King Alexander said, ‘I want you to be our coach”.
That came four plays later on the sophomore’s 4-yard touchdown plunge that gave LSU a 19-7 lead with just less than three minutes remaining. Most of his completions came on check downs to running backs, including a critical third-down swing pass to Leonard Fournette for a 17-yard gain that sustained the Tigers’ final scoring drive.
LSU’s administration had allowed speculation about Miles’ status to fester by refusing to comment on the matter last week, but Alleva stressed that he was only following his policy of waiting until after the season to comment on a coach’s future.
What happens when Saban comes to Baton Rouge next November and looks to record a 6th consecutive victory over Miles and the Tigers at Tiger Stadium, once again?
The Tigers (8-3) added field goals of 32 and 38 yards by Trent Domingue, but Domingue missed three others from 25, 50 and 46 yards.

The question is whether Miles can ultimately escape the same fate as former LSU coach Charlie McClendon, whose 137 victories is the most in school history. “We want you to have that record because of how you play, who you have been and how selfless you are as a teammate here”.
