Star Wars: The Force Awakens – PG-13 rating confirmed in US
According to Filmratings.com, Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens will have a PG-13 rating due to “sci-fi action violence”.

I was pretty bumped for the Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars: The Force Awakens Play Set before we glimpsed a single second worth of gameplay or any other kind of footage.
The designation tells parents that some scenes might be inappropriate for those younger than 13 but doesn’t restrict attendance. Up until 2005’s Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (which we also wrote about today!) all of the Star Wars films had been PG.
“The Force Awakens” stars unveiled some interesting tidbits from the film, including the fact that everyone had to memorise their lines during their audition process because they could not take the script out of the studio. Boyega said. “I think I’m definitely going to wait to see it with family and friends”.
He started the show by performing his opening monologue in front of a galaxy of stars, during which he joked, “Americans know more about Star Wars than we do actual wars”.
See the two other parts of the cast interview, where they talk about getting their roles, and the secrecy surrounding the movie. “I went home and I was like, ‘Dad, I’ve just been cast in Star Wars, ‘ and he was like, ‘Oh my god, you’ve been cast in Star Wars?” That’s the sound of the Star Wars hype train pulling ever closer to the station. If you’re feeling particularly crafty, you can even build your own Cardboard viewer.
